We are located over at Sh1/316 in the DRDO Township, Phase-I. This is in C. V. Raman Nagar, Bangalore, pin code 560093. This is where the Electronics And Radar Development Establishment, or LRDE, is based. It’s a big area with lots of trees and security. We work on radar systems and related electronics. It’s a serious place because of the kind of work we do for the establishment. The offices are quite functional. We have a lot of specialized equipment that you wouldn't see in a regular shop. It’s not a place for casual visitors. We spend our time on technical designs and testing out different radar components. The township is a quiet place to live and work. We have a canteen where everyone goes for lunch and talks about their projects. It's a community of engineers and technicians. We don't have a sales team or anything like that. The work is mostly for the government side of things. Most of the people here have been working in electronics for their whole careers. We have big labs and some smaller workspaces too. It’s a mix of old and new technology. We just focus on the engineering challenges and try to solve them one by one. It’s a busy life, but it’s interesting work. We don't make big claims; we just do what needs to be done every day to keep things moving.
