We've been here at Priyanka Apartments for a good while now. Finding us on the 3rd Cross in Sriram Nagar isn't too hard once you get into Porur, though the traffic near the main road can be a bit of a headache sometimes. The shop itself is small. We spend most of our time looking through viewfinders or cleaning up lenses that have seen better days. It gets pretty dusty around here, so there is always a lot of cleaning to do. Most people come in because they dropped something or the shutter just stopped clicking like it used to. We keep a few spare parts in the back cabinets, mostly stuff for older models that are hard to find now. It’s mostly just us working here, trying to get things fixed so people can get back to taking their photos. The light in the morning is quite nice through the front window, but by afternoon it gets hot, so we usually keep the blinds halfway down. Sometimes the neighbors drop by just to chat while we’re in the middle of a repair. We don't have a big fancy showroom or anything like that. Just a counter, some tools, and a lot of glass and metal parts lying around on the benches. It’s quiet work for the most part, unless the street outside gets noisy with the local deliveries. We just try to keep up with the work as it comes in day by day.
