Our shop is located in Chickpet, specifically at number 263 in the B-53 block. If you know Chickpet, you know how crowded and busy it gets. We spend our days surrounded by huge drums of electrical cables and coils of wire. It is a bit of a tight squeeze inside, but we manage to keep things in some kind of order. We aren't trying to be the biggest distributor in India. We just want to make sure the local contractors and builders get what they need for their projects. My brother and I run the place. We usually have tea together in the afternoon while we wait for the delivery trucks. The traffic outside is always a nightmare, so we have to plan our pickups carefully. We deal with copper, aluminum, and all sorts of insulation. It's a dusty job, handling heavy rolls of wire all day long. Sometimes the labels fall off and we have to re-measure everything by hand. We don't have a shiny office or a receptionist. If you come in, you'll just see us in our work clothes. We have been at this location for a long time, and the neighbors are all like family. We don't do any big advertising. People just find us because we’ve been here forever. It’s honest work and it pays the bills. We just keep moving forward one day at a time. It’s not much, but it’s ours.
