Childwood

You can find us over in Jayanagar 4th Block at Number 130. Some old maps still show it as Old Number 99 so it can be a bit tricky if you’re using a very old GPS. We are on 7th Main. It’s a nice part of Bangalore with a lot of trees around. The shop itself is called Childwood. We spend most of our time dealing with wooden items and things for the home. It’s a bit of a dusty job sometimes because of all the wood shavings. We try to keep the place tidy but there's always something to sand or paint. The 4th Block is a busy area but our specific street is a little bit tucked away from the main noise. We open up in the morning and usually stay until the evening. It’s mostly just a few of us here. We don’t have a big corporate office or anything. Just the shop floor and some storage in the back. Customers usually drop in after they finish their shopping at the nearby markets. It’s a friendly spot. We’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years. Some of the old houses are gone now but we are still here at the same spot. We like the local vibe of Bangalore and being part of the Jayanagar community feels right. It’s a lot of work but it keeps us busy and the days go by pretty fast when you have projects to finish.
