Manas Garments

Manas Garments is located on the ground floor of Jhingade Market, which is right on Chickpet Road. We are at No. 757, directly opposite the Kalamandir building. If you know Chickpet, you know how crowded it gets with shoppers and carts everywhere. Our shop is small and filled to the ceiling with clothes. Sometimes it’s hard to move around when we have a lot of stock delivered. We don't have a fancy window display. We just stack the garments so people can see what’s available. It’s a bit of a maze inside with all the boxes. We spend most of our day counting items and folding things back up after customers look through them. The lighting isn't the best, but we know where everything is kept. It’s a family-run kind of place, so you’ll often see my cousins or uncle helping out during the busy hours. We don't really use a computer for everything; a lot is still written down in big ledgers. It feels more real that way. The tea man comes by twice a day, and that’s usually when we take a short break. It’s a loud, busy, and slightly messy environment, but we’ve been here for years and we wouldn't know what else to do. It’s just a standard garment shop in a very busy part of the city where we work hard every single day.
