Centre For Electronics Design And Technology

The Centre For Electronics Design And Technology is located at House No. 871, which we call Chitra. It sits in Muthyal Nagar, right on MES Road near the MSRIT post office. It’s a busy area of Bangalore because of all the students and the traffic going toward the institute. The house itself is older and has a lot of character, not like the new glass buildings you see in the tech parks. We do a lot of design work here, and you can usually find people tinkering with circuit boards or testing out new electronics. The rooms are a bit cramped because we have so much equipment and old projects lying around. It gets a bit noisy outside with the buses on MES Road, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We don't have a big reception desk or anything like that; you just walk in and find someone working. The staff here is mostly focused on the technical side, so there isn’t much talk about business or marketing. We just like building things and seeing how they work. Sometimes we sit out on the small porch during lunch to catch a break. It’s a very practical, hands-on kind of place where the work speaks for itself without needing any fancy explanations. Being near MSRIT means there is always a lot of energy in the air. You can hear students talking while they walk past.
