Cauvery Ford

If you're driving down Kanakapura Main Road, you'll see us at the 11th kilometer mark. We're right opposite the Khodays Breweries building, which is a landmark most people use to find their way. Cauvery Ford has been at No.13 for some time. It’s a long road and can get quite dusty with all the construction and traffic moving out of the city. We have a fair amount of space here, which helps when there are lots of cars coming in and out. The team is mostly local guys who’ve been around the block a few times. We don’t go for anything too flashy. The main thing is having enough room to park and move the vehicles around safely. Sometimes the morning traffic makes it tricky to pull in, but once you’re inside the gates, things are more controlled. We see a lot of commuters who pass by on their way to work or home. It’s a straightforward setup. We have the usual tools and a waiting area that’s basic but does the job. Most of the day is spent checking schedules and making sure things are where they need to be. Being out here at the 11th kilometer means we get a mix of city traffic and people coming from the outskirts. It’s a practical location for what we do. No big speeches or complicated processes, just the daily routine of looking after things on a busy road. We just keep the gates open and get to it.
