Bags & Packs Factory

Up on the first floor near BET College, things stay pretty loud during the day. We are located on the 6th Cross on Masjid Road, and you can usually hear the sewing machines running from the street if the windows are open. Bismillah Nagar is a busy area, so there is always noise outside anyway. Our space is filled with rolls of fabric and heavy zippers waiting to be used. Most of the guys here have been stitching for years, so their hands move fast without even thinking about it. We make backpacks and all kinds of travel packs. The floor is usually covered in little scraps of thread and leftover cloth bits. It’s not the neatest place, but that’s how a factory works. We drink a lot of tea while we work to keep going. Someone is always checking the seams or packing finished bags into plastic covers. It’s heavy work sometimes, especially when we have to move big crates down the stairs. We don’t have a flashy showroom or anything like that. People just know we are here on the first floor of building number 9. The air smells a bit like new nylon and heavy industrial glue. It is a plain way of making a living, just putting pieces of material together to make something useful. We just keep our heads down and get the orders done.
