Avon Beauty Products

Avon Beauty Products is situated at 508 Brigade Road, right near Millartank Road. Being on Brigade Road means there is always something happening outside, with plenty of people walking by all day long. Our office is a bit tucked away, so it stays a little quieter than the street itself. We spend our time managing the inventory and making sure the beauty supplies get to where they need to go. It’s a lot of logistical work, checking lists and talking to the people who sell the products. The office has a bit of a cluttered feel, mostly because of the samples and catalogs we have lying around on every available surface. We don’t really have a showroom here; it’s more of a back-end operation. The staff is a mix of people who have been here forever and a few newer faces. We usually share some snacks in the afternoon while we go over the day’s numbers. The building has its quirks, like a slow elevator and windows that rattle when it’s windy, but it’s home for us. We don’t try to be anything we aren't. It’s just a place where we manage the business and keep things moving. Dealing with the traffic on Millartank Road is probably the hardest part of the day, but we make it work at 508. We often leave the windows open to get a breeze, even if it brings in the city noise.
