Ashok Labels

Ashok Labels is tucked away in the S.S.I. Area. We are at 17, 2nd Cross, specifically behind Ramkumar Mills. If you know Rajaji Nagar, you know this part of town is full of small shops. Finding the right cross can be tricky because the signs are not always clear. We have been here since before the big malls moved in. Back then, it was all factories and smoke. Now it is a bit of a mix. We work with labels, mostly. The machines take up most of the space. It is a bit cramped in the workshop, especially when we have a big batch going out. We keep things simple. Usually, there is a pile of paper in one corner and ink smells everywhere. It gets loud when the presses are running. You can not really hear yourself think. But we are used to it. My cousin used to help out, but now it is just a small crew of us. We do not really do much advertising. People just find us or they have been coming here for years. It is a family-run type of vibe. We eat lunch together in the back. Sometimes we forget to answer the phone if we are busy with a print run. That happens. We try to keep the floors clean but it is hard with all the scraps. Rajaji Nagar is home for us. We do not plan on moving anywhere else. It is just what we do every day.
