Our facility is out in the KIADB Industrial Area in Hoskote, at plot 19/a. If you’ve ever been to this part of the city, you know it’s mostly big buildings and trucks. Ap Fashion Pvt. Ltd. is one of those places. We have a fairly large space here because of the machinery we use. It’s not quiet by any means. There is always the sound of machines running and people talking over the noise. We focus on making clothes in larger quantities. It’s a different world compared to a small tailor shop. Everything is about schedules and meeting deadlines. The air can get a bit dusty from all the fabric scraps, so we try to keep it ventilated as much as we can. Most of us take the bus or ride our bikes to get here since it's a bit of a way out from the residential areas. There isn't much around here in terms of food, so everyone usually brings their own lunch or buys something from the small carts that stop by the gates at noon. We’ve been part of this industrial estate for a long time. The building shows its age in a few places, like the water stains on the ceiling or the cracked tiles in the hallway. But the equipment is what matters, and we keep that running no matter what. It’s hard work, and we are usually pretty tired by the time we head home in the evening. It's just how it is.
