We’ve been at Richmond Tower for a while now. It’s a busy spot on Richmond Road, and we are located in room 213. Most of our days are spent talking to different manufacturers across the country. Flat tape might not sound exciting to everyone, but it’s what keeps us busy here. We handle a lot of paperwork and try to keep everyone in the loop about what’s happening in the industry. The office is usually full of files and old records from over the years. People come in and out, asking questions or looking for help with their business issues. We aren't a big flashy company with a lobby or anything like that. It’s mostly just us keeping things moving and making sure the members have someone to talk to. Sometimes the traffic outside on Richmond Road is a total nightmare, but you get used to it after a few months. We drink a lot of tea while we sort out the mail. Most of the folks who work here have been around for years, so we know the people in the business pretty well. It’s not just about the tapes; it’s about the people who make them. We try to be useful when someone calls with a problem. There’s always something to do, whether it’s planning a meeting or just answering the phone. It’s a bit cramped in here sometimes, but it works for us. We just keep our heads down and get through the pile of work on the desks every day.
