Aa Rem Electronics is tucked away on 5th Cross in Lingarajpura. We are at 867, right by the Gnana Dass Oil Mill Road. Bangalore is always busy, and this neighborhood is no different from the rest of the city. It’s a bit of a maze back here, but once you find the oil mill, we are quite close. The shop is full of electronics and parts scattered around on the shelves. It’s not the neatest place you’ll ever see, but we know where everything is kept. We spend most of our time at the workbench with a soldering iron. People bring in all sorts of gadgets that stopped working for one reason or another. Some can be fixed and some are just too old to bother with. We tell people the truth about their stuff even if they don't want to hear it. It’s better to be honest than to waste someone’s time and money. The noise from the street is constant, but you get used to it after working here a few months. We don't have a receptionist or anything, so if we're in the back, you might have to shout a hello. It's a small operation, just a couple of us who like tinkering with boards and wires. We’ve been in Lingarajpura for a while and have seen the city grow around us. We just keep our heads down and work on whatever is on the bench today. It is basic work, but it keeps us busy.
