We’re out here at Transport Corporation Of India Ltd. 11Th Mile Tumkur Road Madhavara Post Nelmangala Taluk Bangalore Ka.562123. It’s a busy spot, mostly because of all the traffic coming in and out of the city. We spend most of our mornings just trying to get the gates open and the trucks lined up properly. It’s not a very quiet place, to be honest. You have the sound of the road all day long and the dust that comes with it. We’ve been at this Madhavara Post location for a while now, and everyone knows where we are if they’ve been around Nelmangala long enough. Inside, it’s just desks and lots of paper. We don’t have fancy stuff or any of those high-end office things you see in the city center. It’s a workplace for people who don’t mind a bit of noise. Most of us just drink our tea and get to the logs. Sometimes the rain makes the yard a bit messy, but we just deal with it as it comes. It’s a lot of physical work and talking to drivers who are usually tired from being on the road for days. We know the 11th mile well. It’s a long way from the middle of Bangalore, but it suits us just fine. We just stay focused on the loads and the schedules, keeping things as simple as we can for everyone involved. It's just about getting the job done without any fuss or fancy talk.
