If you know Hesarghatta Main Road, you know it gets quite busy around the Chikbanavara area. We’ve been running the lab and the blood bank for a while now. Most days start pretty early because that is when people come in for their blood draws before they head to work or breakfast. It can get a bit crowded in the waiting area, especially on Monday mornings. We have the usual machines for testing, and the staff is mostly local folks who have been here for years. The blood bank side of things is a bit more serious, obviously. We spend a lot of time keeping track of everything and making sure the fridge temperatures are just right. It is not a fancy place with bright lights or anything, just a regular hospital lab. You might see some of us grabbing a quick tea at the stall outside when there is a break. The neighborhood has changed a lot, with more shops popping up nearby, but the hospital stays the same. We try to get the results out as fast as we can, though sometimes the machines take their own time or we have a heavy load of samples from the wards.
