Raj Traders

Raj Traders is located down in Chudi Galim. We are pretty close to the railway station, so you can always hear the trains coming and going throughout the day. If you are looking for us, we are right near the Kanha Kirana Store. That store is a good landmark because everyone knows it. Our shop is a bit cramped because we try to keep as much stock as possible on the shelves. It’s a lot of manual work, moving bags and crates around in the narrow space we have. I’ve been working here since I was a young man and not much has changed in the way we do things. We open up early and stay late until the last train crowd thins out. It’s not a glamorous job, just trading the things people need for their daily lives. The floor is a bit uneven and the lighting isn't great, but it works for us. We know most of the regulars by their first names. Sometimes we just sit and chat while the tea cools down. We don’t do any of that fancy advertising you see in the bigger cities. People just know we are here in Chudi Galim. It’s a busy little spot and we are glad to be a part of it. We just keep our heads down and keep the business moving one day at a time.
