Siddharth Surgical Hospital

Out here in Deesa, right across from the Gayatri Mandir, is where our surgical hospital is. It’s a practical building meant for getting things done. We have a few operating rooms and some beds for people who need to stay over after a procedure. It isn’t a luxury hotel, just a place for medical care. The hallways are wide enough for stretchers and we keep everything as clean as we can. Our nurses stay busy checking on everyone and making sure the doctors have what they need. We see a lot of different cases, some planned and some that come in as emergencies. The area near the temple gets quite busy during festivals, so sometimes getting into the parking lot is a bit of a squeeze. We’ve been part of the Deesa community for a while now. Most of our staff grew up around here or moved nearby for the work. We don't spend money on big signs or fancy decor. We’d rather make sure the equipment is working right. When people come in, they’re usually worried, so we just try to be straightforward about what needs to happen. It’s a lot of long hours and late nights, especially when there’s a lot of patients. We just take it one day at a time, looking after the people who come to us for help. It’s a serious job but we’re glad to do it. We always have someone on duty even during the late hours.
