Jay Goga Kirana

Jay Goga Kirana is located on the Main Road in Bhorol, right at the post and near the Bal Mandir school. This is a very local spot in the Banaskantha district. The shop is small and has been part of the village for a long time. We stock the usual things like grains, spices, cooking oil, and soap. Sacks of rice and flour often sit on the floor because the shelves stay full. Being right on the main road means a lot of dust comes in from the trucks passing by all day. We sweep the floor multiple times a day just to keep things decent. Villagers stop by to chat and pick up their daily supplies. More than just a shop, it is a place where neighbors catch up. My family helps me out, so someone is usually here from early morning until the sun goes down. We don't use computers; everything goes into a big ledger book by hand. Sometimes we run out of stock if the delivery truck is late, but that is part of life here. Knowing almost everyone who walks in makes the job better. We know their names and exactly what they usually buy for their families. It is a simple, busy life in a dusty village, and we are fine with that. We just try to keep the staples ready for whoever needs them.
