Harihar Masala

Harihar Masala is located at the Dhaniyana Char Rasta, right on the Ambaji Highway. If you’re driving down the highway, you can’t really miss the crossroads there. It’s a busy spot because of all the trucks and cars heading toward the temple or the bigger cities. We deal with masalas and spices here. The air inside the shop usually smells quite strong because of all the grinding and packing we do. It’s a dusty job, but someone has to do it. We have our machines set up in the back and the front is where we keep the bags ready for whoever stops by. The highway noise is constant, so you get used to the sound of horns and engines all day long. We don't have a fancy showroom. It's more of a functional space where we get the work done. We get folks from the nearby villages and also some travelers who are passing through. The Char Rasta is a good spot for us because everyone has to slow down there. We spend a lot of time just cleaning and making sure the spice levels are right. It’s not glamorous work, but we’ve been doing it at this location for a good while now. We don't do much in terms of branding, the smell of the spices usually lets people know we’re here. It’s just how we have always operated our masala business.
