Gurukrupa Medical & Provision Store

Gurukrupa Medical & Provision Store is located in the Anand Complex, right across from Gate 2 of the Market Yard. Since we’re in Pharab, it gets incredibly busy early in the morning when the market opens. We carry a mix of things, not just medicine but also basic provisions that people need for their homes. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze inside because we try to stock as much as possible on the shelves. You’ll find soap and lentils right next to the cough syrup and painkillers. The floor is old tile that’s worn down from all the foot traffic over the years. We recognize most of the people who come in because they work at the yard or live just behind the complex. Sometimes the noise from the trucks across the street makes it hard to hear what customers are asking for, so we have to ask them to repeat ourselves. Our counter is made of dark wood and is usually covered in change and small snack packets. We don't have a big team, just a couple of us who take turns standing behind the counter. The lights hum a little, and the fan overhead wobbles, but it keeps the air moving. It’s a messy, lively place to work. We don't really have a set routine other than opening early and staying until the market quietens down for the night. It’s just a normal shop trying to be useful.
