About Nayan Masala – Food & Beverages in Banaskantha
We are Nayan Masala, and we are based out of Deesa. Our shop and small factory are at Plot No. 62 in the GIDC area on Station Road. If you walk by, you can usually smell the spices before you even see the building. It’s a very strong scent, especially when we are grinding chili or turmeric. We’ve been in Deesa for quite some time now. It’s a local business, and we mostly supply to the nearby shops and households. We don’t have a big marketing department. It’s just us, the grinding machines, and the bags of raw spices. We spend our mornings sorting through the seeds and dried peppers to make sure only the good stuff goes into the mix. The GIDC on Station Road is a busy place, with lots of trucks coming and going. We have a few workers who help with the packing and sealing of the packets. Sometimes the machines get stuck, and we have to spend an hour cleaning them out, which is just part of the routine. We try to keep things simple. We don’t use fancy packaging or spend money on big ads. Most of our customers come to us because they know where we are and they’ve used our masalas for years. It’s a family-run kind of feel here. We just want to make sure the spices are ground well and ready for the kitchen. We take pride in the work, even if it's messy.
