Uma Packaging Industries

Uma Packaging Industries is situated at Plot No. 185 in the Chandisar GIDC Industrial Estate. This is in the Palanpur area, specifically District B. K. in Gujarat. We’ve set up shop here because it’s a good location for the kind of packaging work we do. There is plenty of space for the raw materials and the finished boxes and wraps. It gets really dusty out here in Chandisar, but we’ve managed to keep things going. We have a small crew of people from the nearby villages who help us run the machines. It’s not complicated work, but it needs to be done carefully so things don't get damaged. We spend most of our time making sure the dimensions are right and the materials are strong enough for shipping. The office is just a simple room with a couple of fans and a phone that rings more than we’d like. We don't have any flashy signs or a big marketing team. Most people find us through word of mouth or by just seeing our trucks on the road. We deal with all sorts of orders, some big and some small. Every morning we open up the shutters and get to work. It’s a lot of physical labor, moving rolls of paper or plastic around. We just want to stay busy and keep the business moving forward. It’s a steady life here in Palanpur.
