Asst Manager

Out here in Patosan, things move a bit slower than in the big cities. We are located in the Palanpur taluka of Banaskantha district. Being an assistant manager in North Gujarat means you see a lot of the local community. The office is at the post office area which is the center of things for us. It is a very rural setting and the pin code is 385515. Most days I am just dealing with the local paperwork and helping out where I can. The air is a bit dustier here and you can see the fields not too far away. We don't have a big team or a shiny office building. It is just a room with the essentials. I spend time talking to the farmers and the local residents who have business with us. The language is mostly Gujarati and we keep things very simple. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoons so we just wait it out or work by the window light. It is a practical kind of life. There are no missions or big visions here. We just try to help the people in the village and keep our records straight. The heat in Banaskantha is no joke but we are used to it by now. It is a quiet existence but it is important to the people around here. We just take it one day at a time and do our best with what we have in front of us.
