Our place is up on the third floor of the Utkal Signature Tower. It sits right on NH-5 in the Pahala area of Bhubaneshwar. Being in a tower means we see a lot of the highway traffic from the windows. It’s a busy spot, especially with all the cars and trucks heading out toward the city or moving up the coast. We deal with big machines and heavy earthmoving gear, so our days are filled with logistics and scheduling. The office stays fairly busy with people coming in and out. Since we are in Plot 301-302, there is a decent amount of space, but it always feels full of maps and equipment charts. Bhubaneshwar gets pretty hot in the summer, so the indoor work is a bit of a relief compared to being out on the field. We have been here for a bit now, and most of the locals know the building. It’s a modern enough place, but inside we are just regular folks working on construction and digging projects. We don't have any fancy mission statements on the walls. It is just desks, computers, and people talking about engine parts or project deadlines. Sometimes we grab lunch from the stalls nearby on the highway. It’s just how we run things, keeping it simple and focusing on the daily tasks at hand. It can get a bit loud when the wind picks up off the coast, but we are used to it by now. The work never really stops around here.
