Insurance Advisor

My office is right here in Balrampur. People know me as the Insurance Advisor, but really I'm just a neighbor who knows how to handle the complicated forms. It’s a small room with two chairs and a lot of folders stacked on the shelves. I spent years learning about all the different papers you have to sign for cars, bikes, or health. Balrampur isn’t a huge place, so I see my clients at the market or the tea stall. They often ask me questions while we’re waiting for our groceries. I don’t use a big computer system for everything; a lot of the notes are still written down in my old ledger. It takes time to explain things to people who aren’t used to all the fine print and legal words. I try to be clear about what actually happens if there’s an accident or a problem. My phone rings at weird hours because people get worried about their policies when something goes wrong. I don’t mind the calls. I’ve lived here all my life, and helping folks with their insurance is just what I do now to keep busy. The curtains in the office are a bit faded from the sun, but it’s a quiet place to sit and talk. There’s no big neon sign outside, just a small hand-painted board. I don’t have a team of secretaries. It’s just me, some pens, and the stacks of applications that need to be sent off to the main offices.
