Career Point

Down in Chirimiri, near the Kurasia Colliery, you will find Career Point. Our place is in Godri Para and is run by Amreen Khan. Because we are so close to the mines, the whole area has a very specific feel to it. It is a hardworking community, and our office is no different. We have a simple setup with basic furniture and some boards for teaching or explaining things. We mostly help the local kids and students with their education and career goals. The dust from the colliery is part of life here, so we are always wiping down the desks and chairs. People in Godri Para know us well, and they often drop by just to chat or ask about a specific exam. We don't have a big corporate office with air conditioning. We just leave the windows open to let the air in. Life moves slower here than in the cities, and we like it that way. We aren't trying to be anything flashy. We just want to provide a spot where students can come to get some help. The families around here mostly work in the mines, so we understand the daily life and the struggles people face.
