Gurudeo Rice Mill

Gurudeo Rice Mill is located right near the new bus stand on Sadar Road in Nawapara Rajim. If you are looking for us, we are at the G.K. Sankhala spot. Being so close to the bus stand means there is always a lot of movement and noise around here. The mill stays busy during the harvest season when everyone is bringing in their paddy. It can get quite dusty inside when the machines are running full speed, but that is just part of the job. We have been here for a good while, and most of the locals know where to find us. The building itself is old and has seen a lot of work over the years. We don't really bother with fancy decorations or anything. It is a functional place meant for processing rice and nothing else. Sometimes the power goes out, which slows things down, but we just wait it out and get back to work. There are always bags of rice stacked up near the entrance waiting to be loaded onto trucks. We handle a lot of different varieties depending on what the farmers are growing that year. It’s hard work, and the days are long when the grain starts piling up. We just focus on keeping the machines greased and the rice moving through. It’s a straightforward life here in Nawapara Rajim, mostly centered around the rhythm of the crops and the local market needs.
