Srinathbaba Rasra Foundation

Srinathbaba Rasra Foundation is based right at the Sri Nath Baba Math in Rasra. Being in Ballia, we are quite a distance from the big cities, and we like it that way. The Math is a central point for many people here. Our daily routine is tied to the rhythm of this place. We don't have a modern glass office; instead, we work out of a traditional space that has been around for a long time. It can be a bit cramped when several people come in at once. We handle a variety of tasks related to what the foundation does. Most of the work involves talking to the locals and understanding what is happening in the community. The building itself has a lot of history, which makes working here feel different than a regular office job. We use old wooden furniture and keep our records in thick registers. It’s a lot of writing by hand. In the winter, it gets quite cold, so we wrap up in shawls while we work. The town of Rasra is small enough that we know most of our visitors by name. We aren't doing anything fancy or complicated. It is just about keeping the foundation going and being present at the Math. It gets busy during festivals, but usually, it's a calm place to get things done without much fuss.
