Shree Narheji Foundation

Shree Narheji Foundation operates out of Ballia, in the Narhi area. We are located at House Number 1, which belongs to Vijay Narayan Singh. It is a very easy address to remember since it’s the first house. The pincode for this part of Uttar Pradesh is 221711. We have been here for a while now, and the house serves as our main base for everything the foundation does. There isn't a lot of extra space for fancy things, so we use the rooms for our paperwork and meetings. Ballia can be quite a lively place, but Narhi has its own pace. Working out of a residence like this keeps us humble and close to the ground. We don't have a marketing department or people in suits walking around. It is mostly just Vijay Narayan Singh and a few others looking over the books and planning what to do next. The weather can be tough sometimes, especially during the monsoon, but the house is sturdy and we keep working regardless. People in the village know us and where we are if they need anything. We don't believe in making a big show of our work. We just do it because it’s there to be done. Being at House Number 1 gives us a sense of responsibility to the neighborhood. It is a quiet, practical life here in Narhi, and that is exactly how we intended to run the foundation from the start.
