Lukmania Mental Hospital

Lukmania Mental Hospital is out in Reoti Uttar Tola, close to the Reoti Railway Station in the Ballia district. It is a bit of a trek for some but being near the station helps people find us. The sound of the trains passing by is a regular part of our day here. We focus on mental health which is a bit different from your usual general clinic. The atmosphere in Reoti is quite rural and quiet compared to the big cities which I think helps our patients feel a bit more at ease. We have a modest setup with basic rooms and a small area for people to walk around. It is not a flashy place and we don't have a huge budget but we do our best with what we have. The families who bring their relatives here are often worried and we spend a lot of time talking to them about what to expect. We see people from all over the Ballia area. Some days are harder than others because the work can be emotionally draining for the staff. We stay focused on the daily routine and making sure everyone is safe and fed. It is a very specific kind of work and we have been doing it here in the Uttar Tola area for a while now. We just try to provide a calm place for those who need it without any unnecessary fuss.
