We are right near the Bansdih Thana, which is the local police station, so it is a very safe and easy spot to find in the Ballia district. The pin code here is 277201. Being near the Thana means there is always something going on nearby, plenty of people coming and going. The house itself is a sturdy building and we have used a part of it to run our daily activities. It is a very local setup. We don't have any corporate bosses in big cities telling us what to do. We are just here in Ballia, living and working like everyone else. The office has a few ceiling fans that we keep running all day because it gets quite stuffy otherwise. We keep all our records in big metal cupboards and spend most of our time at our desks. It is simple English we speak and simple work we do. Nothing complicated. Most of the neighbors know us by our first names. When it rains, the road outside gets a bit muddy, but that is just part of life in this part of Uttar Pradesh. We open up the shutters in the morning and stay until we finish the day's entries. It is a good, honest place to work and we are glad to be part of the Bansdih community.
