In Domino'S Pizza

Working here in Ballia is a bit different than being in a big city like Delhi. We are located right in the heart of town, zip code 277001, and everyone knows where the Domino’s is. It’s a small shop compared to the ones you see in the malls, but we stay busy enough, especially on weekend evenings when the orders start piling up on the screen. The kitchen is where most of the action happens, and it gets pretty hot back there with the ovens running all day long. We don’t have any fancy office space; it’s just the counter, the kitchen, and a few tables for people who want to eat in. Most of us who work here are from the local area, so we know a lot of the customers by face even if we don't know their names. We spend our shifts stretching dough, putting on the sauce, and making sure the bikes are ready for deliveries. It’s simple work, but it keeps us on our feet. We don’t really talk about missions or visions here. We just try to make sure the crust isn't burnt and that the orders go out on time. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to mess with the generator, which is always a pain. But mostly, it’s just a regular job in a regular town, and we’re just glad to be working and making something people like to eat.
