Green-Field Child Education And Welfare Foundation

We operate out of House Number 201 in Ward Number 6, over in Mirdah Toli. It is Majhar Imam’s place in the Choti Ballia Lakhminia area. Being in the middle of a neighborhood like this means there are always kids running around and plenty of noise from the street. We wanted to do something for the children around here because education is the only way things ever get better. We are not a big school with a huge playground, just a small setup focused on welfare and teaching the basics to the little ones who live nearby. The rooms are simple and we use whatever materials we can get our hands on. Sometimes it is a bit crowded, but the kids do not seem to mind much as long as they are learning. We spend a lot of time talking to parents in the ward about why it is important to keep their kids in classes. It is not always easy because people have chores and work to do, but we try to make it work for everyone. The Green-Field name was something we liked because it sounds fresh, even though we are right here in the middle of a busy residential area. We just want the kids in Choti Ballia to have a fair shot at things. It is honest, local work and we do it because we live here too and care about the neighborhood.
