Chauhan Traders

Living and working out here in Tari Bada Gaon means things move a bit slower than they do in the big towns. I usually start my day at Chauhan Traders by opening up the front while the morning air is still somewhat cool. We are located in the Nagra Block area, and if you know where the Hanuman Mandir is, you can pretty much find us without any trouble. You can usually hear the temple bells from where we sit. Most of our day is spent dealing with people from the village who need various supplies for their homes or their farms. It gets quite muddy around here when the rain hits, so we spend a lot of time sweeping out the shop floor. There’s always someone stopping by just to chat for a minute or to ask about prices, even if they aren't buying anything that day. We keep our stock piled up in the back and it’s a lot of manual work to get things moved around. The sun beats down on the roof in the middle of the day, making it pretty warm inside, so we take a long break for lunch. It is just a regular life here in the district. We don't have fancy displays or anything like that. It is just a place with the things people need, and we try to keep things organized as much as we can with the space we have. It's just us and the village life.
