Our workshop is on Bilthra Road, not too far from the HDFC Bank and right near the Prathmik Vidyalaya. It’s a good spot because everyone knows where the school is. Since we deal with engineering stuff for farms, we have a lot of heavy equipment lying around the yard. It can look a bit messy to an outsider, but there’s a system to where the scrap and the finished parts go. Most of our days are spent under the shed, working on repairs or putting things together. It gets pretty oily and greasy, but that’s just part of the job. We don’t have a fancy waiting room. If you come by, you’ll probably just sit on a stool while we finish up what we’re doing. The sound of the school kids playing during their break is usually our background noise. We started this place because we wanted to work for ourselves. It’s just a few of us who know how to handle the tools. We don't do much marketing or anything like that. People just hear about us from their neighbors. Sometimes the rain makes the yard a bit muddy, so we have to lay down some planks to keep our boots clean. It’s hard work, and the hours can be long during the planting season, but it’s what we know how to do. We just take it one day at a time and hope the electricity stays on long enough to finish the welding.
