Veeresh Kirana Store

At Veeresh Kirana Store, things are usually pretty straightforward. We are over here at 3-58-42 on the Chikkahesarur Mundaragi Road in Yelburga. It is a long name for a road, but everyone just calls it the main way out of town. I spend my mornings checking the bags of rice and dal to make sure we have enough for the week. The shop is small and can get a bit cramped when more than three people are inside at once. Most of our customers are neighbors who have been coming here since I first opened the doors. I don’t use any fancy computers; I still write most things down in a notebook. Yelburga is a quiet place most of the time, though the road gets busy with tractors and local buses. I like seeing the kids stop by for a piece of candy on their way home from school. My family helps out when they can, especially on Saturdays when it gets a bit more crowded. We don’t have any big signs or bright lights. It’s just the store name painted on the front. Sometimes I run out of certain items if the supply truck is late, but people understand. It is just a typical village shop where we know everyone’s name and what they usually like to buy. I usually sit on a wooden stool by the counter and wait for the next person to walk in.
