S R Provision Store

S R Provision Store is right on Mahanteshwara Road here in Nyamathi. It’s a small shop. It gets a bit crowded with sacks of rice and boxes piled up near the entrance at 87-98/45B. Still, we know where everything is kept. My family has been running this place for years. Most of our neighbors come by for their daily things like milk or tea powder. The street gets quite busy in the mornings when everyone is heading to work. We open up early. Usually, we are here before the sun gets too hot. We stay until late evening. It is not a supermarket or anything like that. It is just a regular store where you can get what you need for the kitchen. Sometimes we run out of things if the truck is late. That's just part of life in Nyamathi. The shelves are a bit old and the floor has some cracks. It works for us though. We spend a lot of time weighing out grains. We count change for the kids who come in for sweets. There is always a bit of dust because of the road outside. We are constantly wiping down the counters. It’s a lot of standing around and waiting for customers. We enjoy talking to the regulars about the weather or the local news. We don't do anything special. We just keep the staples in stock so people don't have to go too far for a bag of sugar.
