N S L Sugars is out in Kanginhal, which is part of the Ballary Taluka. Our address is 142/25. It’s a rural area, mostly surrounded by fields. During the season, the whole place smells like crushed cane. It’s a very busy time for everyone here. We have farmers coming in with their tractors loaded high, waiting their turn. It gets pretty noisy with the machinery running, but you get used to it after a few days. We aren't some big corporate office; we're a working site. There's always grease on someone's hands and the floor is usually sticky. We do our best to keep the process moving so the farmers aren't waiting too long. Sometimes the machines break down and we have to scramble to fix them. That’s just the nature of the sugar business. We have a small area where we handle the paperwork and talk to the drivers. It’s not fancy, just some desks and chairs. We've been here for a while and most of the people in Kanginhal know us. The work follows the seasons. When it's not harvest time, things quiet down and we do maintenance. It’s a cycle we’ve followed for years. We just focus on getting the sugar out and keeping the place running as best as we can without too much fuss. We don't have time for fancy slogans or branding, we just work and stay focused on the harvest cycles.
