Hotel Pola Pardise

Sunil Kumar runs things here at Hotel Pola Pardise. We are situated in the Venkatarantnam Compound, which is just beyond the S.R. Hospital in the Cantonment area of Bellary. My father, K. Ramoji Rao, used to be involved in a lot of things around here too. It is a bit of a quiet spot even though the hospital is quite close by. We have been in this location for quite some time now. Most days involve just checking the rooms and making sure everything is working like it should. We do not have a big team or anything, just a few of us who know the building well. If something breaks, we usually fix it ourselves or call someone we know from down the street. Bellary can get quite dusty and warm, so we spend a lot of time cleaning the floors and the windows. People come to stay because they have business at the hospital or in the Cantonment. We are not trying to be the biggest place in town, just a reliable one where people can get some rest. There is a lot of history in this compound, and you can feel it when you walk around the yard. We usually sit outside in the evenings when it cools down a bit. It is a simple life running a hotel like this. We just take it one day at a time and try to be helpful when someone asks for something. That is just how we operate.
