Home Agro

Home Agro is a small shop located at 15/69-9 on Ballari Road in Marba. We have been here for a while, selling seeds and basic supplies to the local growers. The building is quite plain and the sign has faded a bit over the years. Inside, it smells like earth and sacks of grain. I spend most of my time behind the counter chatting with people from the village about how their crops are doing. We don't have any computers here, so we do everything with pen and paper. It is a slow way of doing things, but it works for us. Sometimes the roof leaks a little when the monsoon is heavy, and we have to move the bags of fertilizer so they don't get damp. My son helps out when he can, but mostly it is just me. Ballari Road is always busy with trucks, but Marba itself is a quiet place. We don't have a mission statement or anything like that. We just stock what the farmers need for the season and hope the rain comes at the right time. People come here because they know we will have the basic stuff they need without any fuss. It is a simple business and we like it that way. We just keep the doors open and wait for the regulars to stop by. Sometimes people even bring us extra vegetables from their gardens when they have a good harvest.
