Our place is tucked away on Shanbhogara Street in Sandur, which is out in the Bellary district. We operate out of the C/o Saroja P Jyothi location. It’s a bit different from the big city offices because Sandur has a much slower pace. We handle global fashion stuff from here, which might seem odd given the quiet street outside, but the internet makes it possible. Most of the day is spent on the computer or talking to people over the phone about different clothing projects. The street is mostly residential, so it's usually just the sound of cows or the occasional motorbike passing by the window. We have a small setup inside where we keep track of everything. It’s a very local feel here. Sometimes the power cuts out in the afternoon, so we take a break until it comes back on. Dealing with global markets from a place like 583119 is interesting because we see both sides of the world. We don’t have a fancy showroom or anything; it’s more of a functional workspace where we manage the business side of the garments. The air is a bit different here than in the city, and we like the quiet of Shanbhogara Street. It’s just us doing our thing, making sure the fashion orders get where they need to go, day by day.
