Chandhu & Company

Our place, Chandhu & Company, is located over at Gayahtri Nagar in Bellary. We've been at this address, 9-65, for quite some time. It's not a huge setup, just a regular local business trying to get through the day. Mostly, we deal with whatever comes our way in terms of supply and helping out the neighbors with what they need. Bellary can get really hot, so we usually start early in the morning to beat the sun. The building isn't much to look at, just a practical space for our inventory. We don’t spend much on advertising because people usually just hear about us from someone else in the area. It’s quieter than the main market, which I prefer. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook and other days it’s just us sitting around talking about the cricket score. We handle our own deliveries mostly. It's a small team, just a few of us who have been working together for years. We know the streets around here like the back of our hands. We aren't trying to expand into some giant corporation. Being a local fixture is enough. We’ve had the same sign out front for ages, and it’s a bit faded now, but everyone knows it's us. Dealing with customers face-to-face is the best part of the job, even when they’re in a hurry. We just keep things moving along steadily and hope the trucks don't break down.
