Our business is based at unit 476 in the MTE Industrial Area. It is a typical industrial setup, surrounded by other units that are doing similar heavy work. The street outside is usually lined with parked tempos and pallets of goods waiting to be moved. Our space is divided into a large work area and a tiny corner for our desk and computer. The walls are just bare brick in some places, and the floor is scarred from years of moving heavy crates around. We don’t have a cleaning crew, so we just sweep up ourselves at the end of every day. It is a loud environment, especially when the neighbors are running their big machines, but we don't mind it. We have a small table where we sit down to eat our tiffins together. Sometimes the rain gets in under the big front door if the wind is blowing the right way, so we keep some old towels handy. We aren't interested in being fancy or having a big brand. We just want to make sure the work we do is solid and that we stay on schedule. We talk to the other business owners on the block and sometimes share tips or tools when someone is in a bind. It is a community of people who just want to get their jobs done. We’ve been here at 476 for a long time and it suits us just fine.
