Jagdamba Gases (P) Ltd is situated at plot number 25 in the Ganeshwarpur Industrial Estate. We are out in Januganj, and if you come by, you’ll see the rows of gas cylinders lined up. Dealing with industrial gases is a very specific kind of job. It involves a lot of heavy lifting and making sure the valves are all tight. The estate can get quite busy with trucks coming in and out at all hours. We spend a lot of our day monitoring the filling process and checking the pressure gauges. It is a bit noisy around here because of the machinery and the clanking of metal tanks. We have a small crew that has been doing this for years, so they know the safety steps by heart. We don’t have a fancy office with leather chairs; it is more of a practical space where we can keep our records and take a break.
