Muktimantra Foundation

Muktimantra Foundation is located right in the middle of the action at Naya Bazar. We are very close to the hospital in Jaleswar, so there is always a lot of movement outside our door. Being in Baleshwar, specifically this part of Jaleswar, means it is never truly quiet. You hear the ambulances, the rickshaws, and the people shouting in the market. We like being where the people are, though. Our office is a small storefront type of space. It’s easy to spot if you are looking for it, but it blends in with the other shops and pharmacies around the hospital. We have a couple of benches inside for people to sit on while they wait. The walls are a bit bare, and the paint is peeling a little in the corners, but it’s a functional space. We spend our mornings drinking tea and going over the things we need to do for the day. Since the hospital is so close, we often have people stopping by because they saw our name while walking past. We don't have any formal dress code; we just wear what is comfortable for the weather. Jaleswar can get very humid, so we keep the door open to catch whatever air is moving. It’s a busy, cramped, and lively place to work, and we wouldn't have it any other way. We are just part of the Naya Bazar daily grind.
