Being at No. 25 in the Baleshwar Pur Industrial Estate means we deal with a lot of dust and noise every single day. That’s just the nature of working with polymers and heavy machinery. We have the machines running most of the day and sometimes late into the night. It’s definitely not a quiet place to work. We’ve been here at Jagdamba Polymers for a long time. The industrial estate is always busy with big trucks coming and going. Sometimes the road right outside gets blocked for an hour because someone is dropping off a load of raw materials. We make plastic components for various uses. It’s honest, hard work. The office is right next to the shed where the main production happens, so you can always hear the hum of the motors through the wall. We drink a lot of tea to stay awake and sharp during the long afternoon shift. Most of the staff live in the nearby villages, so we’ve become a bit of a family over the years. We don't have a fancy lobby or a receptionist. If you come to see us, you’ll probably get some plastic dust on your shoes and you'll have to shout a bit to be heard. We just focus on getting the orders out on time. The machines are getting old but they still work fine if you treat them right and keep them oiled. We spend most of our time on maintenance.
