Somnath Pur is where we spend most of our time at Plot No. Z-2 in the Sidco Industrial Area. It’s a busy spot with trucks coming in and out all day long. Sometimes the dust gets a bit much, but that is just part of being in an industrial zone. We’ve been here for a while now, and the neighbors are all doing similar heavy work. The gates open early in the morning, and the machines start up shortly after that. People walk from the nearby stops to get to their shifts. It is not a fancy place, just a lot of concrete and metal. We have our small office area where the paperwork gets done, usually with a fan humming in the background to keep the heat away. Lunchtime is usually quiet for a bit while everyone finds a shady spot to eat. Then it is back to the routine until the sun starts going down. We see a lot of the same faces every day, from the drivers to the guys working the floor. It’s steady work here in Somnath Pur. You get used to the noise of the machinery after a few weeks. Sometimes we have to deal with power cuts or rain flooding the yard, but we just manage it as it comes. It is a straightforward operation without any bells or whistles. Most people around here know where Plot Z-2 is if they need anything industrial.
