Deepsikha Micro Care Association

Deepsikha Micro Care Association is a small group located at Kesi, over in the Sunhat area of Balasore. Our setup is right at Narayan Panda’s place. We’ve been around for a bit now, focusing on the local community in the Sadar district. Balasore is a busy place and there’s always someone needing a bit of help with small things, especially when it comes to micro care and looking after each other in the neighborhood. We are not a giant organization with a lot of money. Most of what we do involves just sitting down with people in Kesi and seeing what the families need. The post office in Sunhat is our main point for mail and we’ve gotten quite used to the pace of life here. It’s mostly just a few of us who care about the town. Sometimes it’s hard to get everything done because resources are tight, but the people here are good and we manage. You can usually find someone at the house if you need to talk. We don't do much advertising because everyone around Sadar knows where we are. It is just a practical way to help out without making a big fuss about it. We’ve stayed in this spot because it's where our roots are. The work isn't always easy but it feels right to be doing it here in Balasore.
