Baba Dhabaleswar Organic Farmer Producer Company Limited is based out of Badsol in the Rangamatia area. We are basically a group of farmers who decided to work together. It is not a big corporate office; it is more of a meeting point for all of us in the village. We focus on organic farming because that is what we know best. Our days are spent out in the fields or at the collection center in Badsol. We do not have any fancy marketing people telling us what to say. We just talk about our crops and how the current season is going. It is a lot of hard work, especially when the weather does not cooperate. We started this because we wanted a better way to sell what we grow. Being in Rangamatia, we are very close to the land we work on. We do not use a lot of complicated machines. Most of what we do is by hand or with simple tools. It is a slow process but we think it is the right way for us. We meet up regularly to discuss what we need to buy or sell. There are no suits or boardrooms here, just some chairs and a table where we sit and talk things through. We try to keep things fair for everyone involved.
