You can find Alom Extrusions Ltd. over in the Ganeswarpur Industrial Estate. We’re located specifically near Januganj Golai in Balasore. Being in an industrial estate means we are surrounded by other factories and there is always the sound of machinery and trucks in the air. We deal with aluminum extrusions here. It’s a process that involves a lot of heat and pressure, so the shop floor is always quite warm. Our team is made up of local people from Orissa who know the trade well. We don't have any polished corporate offices or fancy waiting rooms. If you come by, you’ll probably find us in our work shirts, busy with the presses. The road to the estate can get a bit congested, especially when the big trailers are moving in and out, but that’s just part of being in this area. We’ve been at this Balasore site for quite a while now. The building is practical and does what it needs to do. We don't really spend time on promotional stuff or trying to look bigger than we are. We just focus on the production schedule and making sure the metal is extruded correctly. It’s a straightforward industrial job, and we take it one day at a time, making sure the shifts run smoothly and the orders get loaded up for transport.
